12/28/17 - CCLQ @ Jean's

Welcome to the LAST meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters for 2017!!  Special thanks to Jean for helping out in a pinch. Ella's DH was sick and she didn't want him to infect anyone.

Willie was on hand to greet all of the quilters:

Joy brought gifts for quilters who missed last week's meeting:

And her embroidery machine, then issued a challenge to each of us.  Jean wants us all to MAKE SOMETHING with the gift we received by the CCLQ 2018 Holiday Pot Luck!!  Are YOU up for a challenge???  Joy has to make something with THIS:

Show and Tell...

Candy started us off, but hers was a bit of a process:

Jean kept herself busy while waiting by deconstructing thrift finds:

I guess that means that this bag of scraps (Thanks, Ruth S.!!) will have to wait to see some action while Joy finishes up projects:

Maybe she should have taken another of Jean's cookies to cope with the task of sorting the scraps:

Linda or Dee Dee pointed out that we quilters inadvertently sorted ourselves by color!!

12/21/17 - CCLQ Holiday Potluck @ Linda's

Welcome to the Annual Holiday Potluck for the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters!!  There was a change of venue this year.  Thank you to Linda for hosting this year's event!

Candy started us off with an announcement.  Grandmommy now has a brand new grandbaby.  Congrats!

Too much time has gone by since the meeting and I can't recall the details of this pattern:

Candy received the BEST possible gift:

She spent the morning working on a quilt binding:
