8/11/2022 CCLQ @ Deedee's

Welcome!

The weather was just wonderful for this week's Cherry Creek Lane Quilters meeting.

Carol continues on the "Crumb" quilt road with this donation quilt she is binding.

Linda has put together a meow-zing collection of fabrics and a few patterns.  Some online purchases and others from a recent trip to Charlottesville VA.

Deedee did another collage art quilt of an electric green beatle.

Maggie showed a finished Wedding Quilt for her niece Ally; quilting done by Britt.

Gayle finished her collage quilt and it so fits her style; can't wait to see it on a wall of her house.

Candy has two (no make that three) quilts ready for donation.

Couching with yarn gives a break between the quilt blocks and the border.

Candy also shared some books; Deedee wanted the Strips that Sizzle and the Blended borders book was used for the 3rd small now a donation quilt.

Pinwheel ornaments may need a little rework since the fusible web is not holding together.

Ruth has the blocks all together for this lap quilt that is destined for a friend.  As well as 2 baby donation tops that a ready for quilting.

That's it for this week.

8/4/2022 CCLQ at Gayle's

Welcome to this week's meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters!

Candy had her Ukraine donation quilted with wavy lines.

Deedee showed the result of the collage day fun that she, Gayle, and Deborah had done this week.  (didn't get a photo of Gayle's but I'm sure we'll see it when it is off the longarm)

She got this wonderful batik of squares and half squares.
And continued to work on the binding of the Solar Flare so close to being done.

Ella shared a picture of a runner that is on her design wall.

Deborah did her collage work on the bear of this Smoky Mountain quilt.

Carol sure made use of her new embroidery machine by doing unique one of a kind centers to each of these blocks.  This quilt is for a Sorority sister and designs are so custom it will sure be a treasure for her "sister".

That's it for this week.  Tune in again to keep the inspiration going.

7/21/22 CCLQ @ Candy's

Welcome to the weekly meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters.

Linda shared her recent wide back purchases from Pineapple.  If you didn't know, it seems each Wednesday they put a few featured backings on sale.

Candy had a Cat Approved show of two child sleeping mats that are covered with panels.
How cute is that?

She also shared a tell about pin basting this quilt top.  The Mebane library has some large tables that can be used to layout and pin baste a quilt top.   Certainly saved the drive over to Hillsborough Passmore Center.

Deborah showed here recent Tula Pink - Daydream purchases which are certainly "eye" candy all around.

Deborah also made use the BQ3 pattern to highlight the kitty cat novelty fabric she got in a past Shop Hop in VA.

Maggie showed two tops that a ready for quilting.   The half squares that got "lost" and then found were used as part of the backing after quilt.  Lesson Learned: when you think you miss counted; check around before you cut and sew more!

Deedee got the quilted Big Bird donation quilt back to bind and has made an assortment of Pinwheel Ornaments for the Passmore Center Craft Fair scheduled in November.

Sew Happy Until Next Week!
