3/31/2026 NT Nights

Welcome to the Nimble Thimble Night Quilters!  We had a good group turn out for the End of March meeting.  Denise D. was doing a stash clean out and gave away some wonderful precuts.  Marriane P. has used one of the jelly rolls for this donation quilt, still inprocess but she also got the yardage for the final border.  She breaks down the piecing process by doing 8 fabrics at a time.  Just wonderful ... a great start to the switch of weekday meetings to the Last Tuesday of the Month.

Nimble Thimbles - 2025 Green Batik Challenge Reveal - A Quilt Bee Family Affair

Welcome to the 2025 Nimble Thimbles Green Batik Challenge Reveal!!  Thank you to Maggie for coordinating the Challenge and donating the challenge fabric!  This year, for the first time ever, the whole fan-damly was invited to participate.  Members from all three branches of the family tree participated. Thanks also to Sue for hosting the reveal party at the Corbinton Clubhouse!

This is a photo of the fabric...

It was taken indoors during the late afternoon so the color appears much more yellow than in real life.  I'll try to get a better photo, but that will have to wait for now:

The following 15 members were in attendance:

There were 3 participants were unable to attend, but sent photos of their entries...

Here is the parade of entries...

Sue tried to get a shot of all the quilts together, but had to settle for segments of the room in an attempt to capture them all:

Thank you, again, Maggie!  Participating members were pleased with the result of the challenge.  Some members really stepped outside their comfort zone and one member created her VERY FIRST challenge quilt and even did the quilting herself.  Way to go, everyone!  All of the entries were SEW fabulous!!

Until next time...
Meet the CHALLENGE!!!
