And then it fell off the radar screen. Sorry!!!
There was an art show in the hallway on the way to the sewing room. Wouldn't these iris paintings make beautiful quilts:

Margaret brought her sewing machine:
We had a visitor with us tonight. Come back soon, Sherry:
She is a rare bird around here... she does EVERYTHING by hand:

Sherry is making this pillow for a gift:
Carol is knitting a baby blanket for a special baby on the way:

8/25/18 - NT in the Wild @ The DOQ Donation Quilt Workshop
Welcome to another edition of NT in the Wild!! The entire "family tree" came out to the Donation Quilt Workshop hosted by the Durham Orange Quilt Guild.
Founding members of Nimble Thimbles, Sarah and Joy, share a photo op:
Sarah was inspired by Joy's I-Spy Swap Quilt:
This is a better look at Sarah's photo of Joy's quilt:
Here's another look at Sarah's Donation Quilt:
Karen was here from NT Nights:
Britt is a "triple-dipper" as she belongs to all three groups in the Nimble Thimbles family. She worked on a QOV:
I don't know why Joanna was surprised to see Joy taking photos:
She represented the CCLQ branch of the NT family:
Dee Dee tried "webbing" a quilt:
She is a "double dipper" who participates in NT and is a founding member of CCLQ. Her Kid Quilt is ready for the next two columns to be joined:
Random Donation Quilt photo, to show the construction:
This is the quilt that Joy wants to make next:
A fellow DOQ member assembled this Quilt of Valor:
Britt's QOV moved to the "Design Floor" for another look at the border options to bring the quilt up to size:
Joy chose this kit of fabric to work on after her current Donation Quilt has been completed:
She gathered some potential backing fabrics to change the feel of the kit quilt:
Patti is a member of NT Nights (who serves as the current Guild President) and she made this adorable Bug Jar Quilt:
Britt found a set of fabric PERFECT for her next Donation Quilt:
Don't feel sorry for this kit that she returned. It was quickly scooped up by a fellow guild member:
Here is Britt doing some actual sewing. Just ignore that lime green kit of fabrics! It just MIGHT be a second kit for one of our lime green-loving members - who shall remain nameless:
Here is Dee Dee, working away on her Donation Quilt:
Karen is busy assembling her quilt top, too:
Dee Dee shared a photo of this beautiful quilt her SC friend just made for a retirement gift:
Karen completed the top before lunch and is working on the layout for the quilt backing:
The Scrap Fairy visited Joy while she was at lunch:
After lunch, Joy made and applied binding to her Collaborative Donation Quilt made with (future) NT Nights member Marian during the last Sew Day:
Joanna is beginning to sew rows together:
Look!! Dee Dee's quilt top is DONE:
"Family" members work together to roll Karen's binding. Thanks for the teamwork, Joanna:
Not a common sight... Patti actually quilted a Donation Quilt DURING the Sew Day:
Joy has a finish:
What a wonderful day!! Good friends working together for a (number of) good cause(s) for the Guild's charities.
Until next time...
BEE productive!!!
