Here's a look into her shopping bag...

This fabric will be used to make a reversible apron...

... And look at the coordinating fabric she found in her stash:

Cheryl also showed us the pattern...

... And fabrics that she bought out West:

The pattern can be made as a square...

... Or a rectangle:

Dee Dee...

... Wasn't ready for a photo, but shared the fabrics shown last week on Zoom:

She is happy about having this Kitty pillow completed:

Keep an eye on these two!  They are pawing over Dee Dee's fabrics:

This quilt top is done:

Fabrics chosen with her world traveler friend in mind:

Here is the backing fabric that Dee Dee selected:

Are all the bee prints accounted for, Dee Dee?

Candy received a fun gift:

Including not one...

... But TWO adorable panels:

LOOK at that fun selvedge:

That might back this panel:

Will this purple work for a border or binding:

These fabrics might work with this adorable elephant print:

Next up was this darling Cat panel:

Too bad Candy wasn't willing to part with her Panda panel, as Ruth has the perfect backing for it or maybe just a fun print to go with this selection of coordinates:

Lynda Mac...

... Is making good progress on her Cat quilt:

Now that she has the pattern sorted, she may even make a second...

... Out of these sweet charm squares:

9/30/21 - CCLQ in the Wild - Pineapple Expedition

Welcome to another edition of CCLQ in the Wild!!  Our roving reporter spied quilters out shopping.  Here's how the story unfolded...

Several of our friends needed to fabric for quilts in progress.  A scheduling glitch allowed for a free day.  Two cars traveled to Pineapple Fabrics in lieu of our regular meeting.

Group Photos...

Thanks to Brandon @ Pineapple Fabrics for offering to take a photo for us!  Can you tell who had the heaviest bag???

Linda H., Ella, and Candy were picking over the "pound" table:

Cheryl K., and Ruth B. were shopping the aisles while Ella looked on...

... And Joy was busy taking photos to document the day:

Pineapple fun...

Here is one of the quilts hanging behind the registers:

If you couldn't tell from the group photo at the beginning of the post, Cheryl K. was the winner of today's Pineapple Award:

Until next time...

9/28/21 - NT Nights - Ice Cream Social @ Joy's

Welcome to the September meeting of the Nimble Thimbles Nights!!  We decided to do something a little bit different tonight.  The quilters had expressed interest in coming to see Joy's new home.  SEW... Instead of meeting at Whit's parking lot, she offered her new back deck for an ice cream social.  Six quilters made the trip.

Group Photo...

Please note, the photo above was staged.  Once the image was captured, two of the three quilters on the glider went back to their chairs just out of view on the left.  (You'll notice a bag on the deck beside the table.)

Show and Tell...

Tonight, it was all about Joy's new home and studio:

The quilters enjoyed their tour:

They had their pick of 10 fabrics on the pressing station...

And their choice of 10 books on the cutting table:

Karen brought a pretty potted plant:

Thank you for the sweet housewarming gift, Karen.  SEW thoughtful of you!  I appreciate your taking the time to bake that yummy batch of cookies for tonight's meeting, also.  I ran out of time to take on that particular task.

Until next time...
Happy quilting!!!
