4/17/2025 CCLQ @ Ruth B's

It's Thursday so you know what that means .... some show-n-tell time with the Chery Creek Lane Quilters.

Maggie showed the Stepping Stones Frog donation quilt with it's pink pieced back.  Then she gave Candy her Josephines Knot donation that has been quilted and now needs the binding.

Carol is all charm with her latest donation creation from charms and half charms.

Deedee has the binding all done on this donation panel cutie.  She has also got a new "Potato Chip" quilt top together.  She then did a surprise gift for Ruth S of a snowman panel.  This will be a much better ending to the story.

Lynda finished the binding on one of Ruth S's donation quilts.

Candy has another Malaysian Panel wall hanging completed ready for friends when she next visits them.

Gayle continues to make quilts for each of her Fellowship members.  This nine patch beauty is sure to wrap around the feet the tall recipient.

Ruth S. showed her finished NICU donation quilt (So Pretty In Pink).  Then she presented a Group Gift to Angela whose sure to love the purple flowers pictured in the quilt.  Tears and Hugs followed.  

Cheryl showed the companion baby quilt of the Modern Purple blocks that is ready for donation.  She then told us her change of plans for the Josephine Knot queen size quilt she is working on.  Just shows that fabric choices can need swapping once the pieces are cut and shown together.  Her center block fabic is going to have to work with these existing fabics better than the original "white".

Joy showed us a photo of the latest miniture quilt from last Saturday at the Family House sit-n-sew day.

Ruth B had a great tell that her Round Robin Challenge from last year is now together and totally out of her mind.  She has a new challenge to work on some strips that Sizzle as well as a mini quilt from fabrics left over from her Jacket Quilt.

4/10/25: CCLQ at Candy’s

 Welcome to the weekly meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters.  This week the group met at Candy’s home. 

Cheryl dazzled us with the this beautiful purple quilt inspired by Tula Pink’s book, 100 Modern Quilt  Blocks. Tula

Deborah added a border on this fully saturated quilt made from left over fabric for the Storm at Sea Quilt. 

Maggie completed this fun table runner with colorful triangles. 

Maggie shared the pattern and fabric for her next donation quilt. 

Maggie finished an adorable donation quilt and found the perfect green binding fabric at Bulltown Fabrics. 

Maggie shared another cute donation quilt. 

Maggie hit the jackpot at Bulltown Fabrics finding these panels on sale! 

Another find at Bulltown Fabrics…woven plaid cottons.

DeeDee finished this beautiful donation quilt with clever border. 

DeeDee purchased this wonderful “Tales from the Garden” fabric.

Carol has several quilts in the works.  She had a request for a baby quilt using white, cream and beige fabrics.  Luckily, Spoonflower Fabrics had some baby themed fabrics in those colors. 

Linda found some cool patterns on the Boho website. 

Linda shared this lovely purple block.  

Linda found some nice colors at Joann’s.

Candy took the group on a tour of quilts in her house.  This one is cleverly displayed on a door.

Here’s the beautiful quilt made by Ruth S for Angela. The quilt was quilted by Gayle and Candy sewed on the binding.

4/3/25 CCLQ @ Maggie's

Welcome to the weekly meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters.  This week the quilters avoided the pollen and held the meeting indoors.  The screen porch was sporting an over night dumping of the yellow haze.  

There were seven members in attendance.

Candy showed us her progress on the "Bonnie" pattern quilt top.  It was agreed that the quilt needed the two side pieces.  Sorry Candy just a little more sashing and you will be done.

Ruth showed us the donation quilt she needs to bind.  Then she showed us some new placemats that are very spring'y.

Carol's back on the colorful scrappy roll with these 2 tops.

Joy had two finished quilts both sporting the monthly challenge color of yellow.

Deedee shared a panel she just had to have that features "Feed" sack designs.  We'll have to wait and see what she creates with some or all of them.

Lynda is busy working on another layer cake pattern with Crystal Garden pkg she got at the Passmore Center on Tuesday.  The Juliet charm pack will have to wait for another inspiration pattern.

Maggie showed an inprogress table runner from the Moda Candy squares pattern book (Red).  Then she showed the progress of the 12 blocks from the prior week that are now sashed with the border and backing fabrics just waiting.  She Plane and Ballon kids donation had a little surprise of a pieced back.
