4/4/19 - CCLQ @ Gayle's

Welcome to another meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters!!  This week's meeting was held at Gayle's new house, a first visit for some of the eight of us in attendance.

Here is a photo of Gayle's collaborative art piece made with the panels that Jean machine embroidered for her:

Thank you to Jean for taking photos and notes!!!  Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get the photos from email to blog.  I'll try again, though.

Until then,  here's a verbal account of what when on...

(Edited to add... FIXED!!  Transferring photos from email directly to computer worked.  Email from phone, NOT so much!)

SEW... Show and Tell...

Joanna mending pants. And I thought Picasso didn't paint garage doors!

And "Look, Kevin, I Can Do Scrappy" challenge. Margaret is doing it too. Joanna is using Stonehenge... Surprised???  In Earth colors:

Linda's baby quilt for a co-worker. Last week of Spring Break. Jean had a design from the BTS group digitized for Linda's embroidery month. She will have it done on a tee for her daughter.

Lynda working on another Sue Spargo quilt:

Learning new stitches:

Lynda's TELL:

Bought Pattern Ease at JoAnn Fabrics to help with placement of all the tiny pieces and loves it.

Gayle's "Margaret-Pineapple" quilt:

Here's a look at the back:

And the best news???

Gayle had a TELL.  There's a contract on the old house!!! Closing end of the month. New owners to turn it into a healing/spa center.

Ruth B. also had a TELL.  Her bathroom is painted!!!

She has a new approach to her quilt, "Rethinking the Eighties" A new arrangement as the old one just wasn't working:

Ruth S. "Cars" donation quilt:

And she fixed the error on her donation quilt from last week:

Margaret had an offer of a pattern "Loose Change", which Linda claimed it.  Her TELL is that she's going to Delaware next week and has already found 3 quilt shops!

Working on Missouri Star "Love Notes" with 600 HSTs:

This is a photo of the back (just to make everyone jealous of her skills) to show her precise piecing and pressing method:

Thanks for stopping by and, thank you again, to our substitute blogger for today's post.
Until next time...
Let's go SEW!!!
