Celebrating our Fabric Stash

 Welcome to the weekly meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters!  This week Linda arranged for the group to meet at the Passmore Center.  The unofficial theme this week seemed to be “celebrating our fabric stash” as many quilt projects were made from the existing store of fabric from our very own homes and folks brought fabric to share with others. 

Maggie shows off a lovely bag of fabric from Lynda. 

Lynda shared this beautiful donation quilt with a great combo of lime green and purple borders. 

Lynda also brought a couple of excellent fabrics to add a secondary border on the donation quilt. 

Candy brought four bags of fabric to give away! 

Lynda brought some jungle prints to share. 

Candy shared the collection of scrappy yellow blocks from our Sew Saturday. 

Carol has been busy making adorable Valentine quilted boxes for her her grand children.  Each one has a lovely embroidered heart on one side and the other side has “love” embroidered on it. 

Carol shared three gorgeous donation quilts! 

Carol’s colorful donation quilt was made from the long strips of scraps that she sewed together a few weeks ago.  She plans to add more columns.

DeeDee brought this cool cat to stuff.  She reported that she’s also working on an art quilt.  She mailed a quilt to a young friend and received a heartfelt thank you video of him opening the gift. 

Cheryl reported that she has started sewing the border of the tree quilt and has also sewn a border on the baby quilt. 

Gayle received some olive green fabric from Candy.  Gayle also reported that she’s working on a four square quilt, which is hiding somewhere in her sewing room. 

Linda showed her stunning Radiant quilt. Linda reported that she’s working on her block of the month quilt. 

Ruth shared this lovely donation quilt made with fabric from her stash.

Ruth also finished the top of another lovely donation quilt also made with fabrics in her stash.  

Deborah completed one tedious row of the Storm at Sea quilt…made with 27 year old fabric in her stash. 

DeeDee mentioned the upcoming Carolina Fiber Fest in Raleigh March 14-15th.
