1-25-25: Sew Saturday at Family House

Quilters started the new year with a wonderful Sew Saturday on January 25th at Family House.  A big THANK YOU to Candy for organizing this event. Luggage carriers were available to haul sewing machines, fabrics, irons, pot luck dishes and other needed items to our spacious second floor meeting room. 

Eleven quilters met at Family House for Sew Saturday. 

Ruth S shared this beautiful donation quilt made with fabric from her stash. 

Cheryl found a bundle of purple fabrics in her closet.  A plan for these fabrics is percolating. 

Cheryl completed most of this lovely fall migration quilt and will add borders from some of the fabrics below.
 

Candy had fun making scrappy squares. 



Candy finished this lovely bag for a friend. 

Britt was busy working on a blue, green and yellow quilt. 

Carol spent time sewing binding on a quilt.

Kisten was working on a quilt which features a lot of half square triangles. She has been taking an online class called “Triangle School” from Lo and Behold Stitchery. Find the link to the class here.  

Cheryl takes advantage of the ironing space. 

Gayle has been busy cutting lots of 2.5 inch squares and is now making a scrappy cover for her living room chair. 

Deborah found a Storm at Sea UFO (unfinished project) from 1998.  She focused today on piecing 3x6 inch diamond blocks. 

Linda shared this spectacular Radiant quilt!  She plans to give it to her hairdresser. Linda also worked on cutting fabric for a new quilt. 

Our meeting room also had a kitchen so we enjoyed a delicious lunch.  

Joy worked on her Rainbow scrap challenge which featured the color pink. 

Maggie brought pre cut fabric for everyone for our next Round Robin project. 

Maggie finished this adorable donation quilt with cool backing fabric.

Maggie also showed this wonderful donation quilt for Veterans.
