2/6/2025 CCLQ @ Ruth S's

Welcome to the weekly meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters!  This week Ruth S. hosted and had a great display of quilts on her upstairs railing.

Gayle started us off with her latest donation quilt top that she is Sooooooo happy tobe finished with.

Deborah now is halfway done with ther storm at sea project that is a uof that has been around for awhile.

Ella has another donation top this pattern is the over sized potatoe chip where the blocks are 6x12".  She has also completed and turned in two lovely children/baby quilts.

Maggie showed the completed Barry Lighthouses donation quilt that is sure to bring joy to any Seafarer recipient.  The backing and quilting are just perfect.   She also had a completed baby quilt made from (8) 9" finished half squares.

Joy is doing up the "Pink" month challenge with 2 examples and then she is working on a blue challenge that requires her to make 3 traditional blocks.  Two are done with one to go.  Can you guess the block names?   She is using J O Y as the first letter of the blocks.  The "Y" block is still in the works.

Deedee has her Kitty all done that was a challenge with her Mixed Media group. She has also completed a baby donation Lickety Split.

Linda has her borders all done and a light lavender backing fabric ready for Gayle to longarm for her.

Lynda has the final borders on her donation quilt and has enough of the light skinny border fabric to piece a back with the darker version of that fabric included.  It just pops along with cheer.

Carol or should we call her Speedy.  She just received these 9-patch recut blocks on Tuesday at the Senior Center and has the baby quilt top all together by Thursday morning.  But wait she didn't let the moss grow and also used fabrics she got on Tuesday to make up a Villa Rosa design called La France.

Ruth and Angela were able to join us today and Ruth told us about her Round Robin Challenge giving her some problems but she will continue and bring it for show-n-tell soon.

Ruth also made a baby donation with a lovely assortment of pinks.  She is planning to start a "Bonnie" quilt with the floral pink & green fabrics next.

Thats it for this week from these Quilters!
