Welcome to the Cherry Creek Lane Quilter's Meeting of the Nimble Thimble Bee. Deborah was our host and some delishous cookies and nibbles.
Candy go us stared with her finished quilt using Paula Nadlestern kalidescope fabric. It has found it's home at her home where it will be waiting for a good snuggle underneath this great design and quilting.
Maggie shared a bit of a failure in making a rectangular cozy from a pattern that Deedee lent her borrow. When attempting to make a custom size it came out too shallow.
Carol has been busy but no shows this week. Talked about Log Jam video where the scraps are added with any size width. The blocks are squared up on a tilt when they reach the right size.
The youtube video is
"Come join Jackie for her Modern Log Jam class"
Gayle is getting ready for her next big cruise.
Deedee is finished and ready to hand over a bunch of children quilts for friends family. She's ready to get back to her art quilts but these sure did come out cute as anything.
Britt is fighting with squirrels who have moved into the attic. But she did find a spare "design wall" rolled up under the longarm ... the best part is when unrolling it she found a bunch of 4 patch stack-n-wack blocks that have not been seen for many a year.
Cheryl is back from a visit to the west coast and had some high times in the snow covered moutains with with her grandson.
Ruth got her quilt back from Britt's longarm and is now ready to get that binding on and get it delivered. Great job doing a modern wedding quilt for a modern couple.
Lynda has some truely cheerful donation quilts from her stash leftover fabrics. They are sure to brighten up any recipient.
Deborah has her Ocean Views quilt blocks on the design wall and is very happy with her stripology ruler.
Joy's got a lovely green challenge mini quilt and a green and blue strip quilt.
Quote of the Day ...
"If you hate it, donate it"
Keep Sewing!
