3/29/16 - NT Nights @ Hboro Library

WARNING!!!  This is a photo-heavy post!!!

Welcome to this month's meeting of the Nimble Thimbles Night Bee!!  We were missing a number of people and a couple more returned from "sick leave."  Even so, there were 8 members enjoying a relaxing meeting.  There was lots of easy chatter and a little...

Show and Tell!!!

True to form, Margaret was the first one to arrive at the meeting.  She had a clever project to share.  Here is her Sew Together Bag, which was made using THIS tutorial.

The exterior:

And...  The interior:

THIS adorable little gadget was made by Margaret several years ago:

Cheryl B. was also an early bird.  She worked on burying threads on one of her client quilts and brought another  two BIG, beautiful quilts to show off:

Here's a full shot, because you KNOW that we have to see the whole thing:

Carol, Jill and Joy arrived in a clump.

Jill got busy on the binding of a Donation Quilt:

Sorry!!!  I somehow missed the shot of her holding the quilt up for everyone to get a good look.  :o((

Joy trimmed O's T-quilt:

Ignore that blue and beige quilt!  Here's the "picture proof" (top right corner of photo shown below) that it's ready for binding:

Carol told us all about the new hardware in her ankle.  She's shown here with our other recovering surgical case, Margaret:

Karen, Britt, and Bo trickled into the meeting room and brought things to share.

Karen made a Fidget Quilt for the Memory Care Unit at Carol Woods:

She THOUGHT she could escape the camera, but I don't THINK so:

Britt quilted the interior of her M2 Mystery Quilt:

LOOK at the backing fabric!!  It's PERFECT for the quilt:

Britt asked for opinions regarding the quilting of the borders, then unrolled her latest landscape quilt:

Bo brought Margaret's quilt back from being quilted on her Statler Stitcher:

Jamestown Landing Quilt (straight off the longarm.)  It turned out beautifully...

On the floor:

Being held up for a photo:

Up close and personal:

Any way you look at it, it's a beauty and here is a "glamour" shot to prove it:

Photo courtesy of Bo Herman of Hillsborough Quilting.

We had a very nice visit (and some of us got some work done, too)...

Britt cutting the binding for her M2 Mystery:

Cheryl working on binding of one her quilts for a son:

Look at the difference, but each is gorgeous in its own right:

...  And some of us didn't...

Bo was another one who thought that she could hide from the camera:

Maybe...

... Maybe NOT:

Margaret brought her applique project and finished another leaf:

Then ended up looking through a magazine:

Carol was pleased to be with us and enjoyed chatting:

Until next time...
Spring into QUILTS!!!

Two members missed an incredible Asian Fusion lunch at Lucha Tigre in Chapel Hill, but we were joined by Ella's beautiful daughter.  Welcome, Jennifer!!

YUM!!!

Ella and Linda had the Chicken Empanadas:

Just LOOK at the 3" or 4" stack of Bulgogi Chicken:

Here is today's Lunch Bunch, sans photographer:

We were all worried that Dee Dee might have been in Brussels at the time of the attacks, but she was having a blast in Amsterdam.  Whew!!  That's a relief and just LOOK... she was at a Quilt Shop:

Until next time...
