4/19/18 CCLQ at Joanna's

A small group made it to the meeting at Joanna's house. We missed those not there...but not to worry, we ate the yummy brownies Joanna made without their help. :)

We had so much to talk about we barely had time for show and tell!

Ruth S. shared fabrics with Ruth B. for her churn dash quilt.

Britt handed over a finished vintage quilt to Joanna (sorry, forgot to take a picture).

Ella delighted us by making it to the meeting less than 2 weeks after her successful surgery.
And shared a very sweet series of gifts a fellow quilting friend sent her

This panel was SO cute -click on the photo to read what it says

This gorgeous fabric may or may not be the border for the panel

We were so pleased that Candy joined us, but the photographer failed to snap a picture. :(

Cheryl B finished the quilting on her Love quilt

She also shared a commission quilt of patches she is working on - wow! that's a lot of patches!!

Ruth S. shared her donation quilt for the veteran's hospice project. What a great combination of blocks!

Joanna shared a cool quilt made by modifying a pattern. The photo doesn't do it justice - click on it to see the neat fabrics used.

We followed up the meeting with pimento cheese burgers and other delicious options at Bennett Point Grill.

4/5/18 CCLQ at Linda's

CCLQ's meeting was at Linda's house and she made us some delicious blueberry muffins. We appreciate you hosting Linda.

It was a bit of a somber gathering as we were thinking of a friend going through a very hard time, but it was good to be together. A little bit of quilt viewing provided some distraction.

Deedee shared the plethora of bowl cozies she's been making and gifting to friends.

Britt made further progress on the vintage donation quilt she's quilting.

Ruth B captured in a moment of listening

Some additions to her churn dash project

Joanna requested opinions on some of the fabrics she's using

Here's the pattern she's working on

A picture of the sweet ocean quilt Linda created.

And her latest project -wow, looks ambitious!

Her Pineapple fabric purchases are ready to be cut!

Ruth S finished the binding on the Thomas fire quilt - thanks Ruth!

And a pretty fabric she purchased at Pineapple

Cheryl B shared the birthday month gifts from DOQ

And a purse Sandra gifted her

And the Love quilt she was able to put together very quickly. The cutting was made easier by a tool that's been hiding in her quilt room for about ten years!

Deborah had nothing to show but did share that she and E took a happy trip to see family.

The group took a rare picture together -friends like these sure do make the good and the bad of life better.
