1/26/2023: CCLQ Hosted by Linda @ Passmore

Welcome to the weekly meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters!

Linda hosted 10 quilters at the Passmore center in Hillsborough.  The snacks were delish and the group discussions were full of fun.

Dee dee continues to use up stash panel blocks with this Motorcycle donation top.

Deborah has made some super cute doggie portraits that represent her Sisters doggies.  The link for the patterns/kits is The Whole Country Caboodle.

Deborah also showed a finished charm quilt love that binding... stripes on the diagonal.

Lynda has her mojo going finishing this quilt at Britt's sit down long arm. It's a Kaffe Fassett kit "Red Fish" from a year or so back.  Gloriouscolor.com

Ruth showed us her goodies from the Guild Silent Auction with a twist ... it was by phone light.  She also showed us her progress with the Half Yard Challenge from the New Years Eve day NT workshop.

Donna was still visiting and showed us her purchase from a road trip with Ruth S. to the French Connection in Pittsboro.  We also got a treat to see two of her Ballerina drawings.

Cheryl is busy getting ready to deliver her Aunts Quilt and has made a few finger pot holders to give away as well.

Cheryl's photo is on the back of the as the makers label.
Maggie showed a flannel top that used Deedee's plaid leftover.  The gray and brown stash just went so well like they were just waiting for the pretty plaid to make a small donation quilt.   The hourglass blocks first had a test block from muslin and green stripe that turned in to Maggie's week 4 donation.

Candy has the Half Yard Challenge top all finished and will stop at Maggie's to select a backing fabric.

Ruth S. is binding this Tuesday Group quilt; it is a wonderful use of panel blocks that didn't even have to be cut apart.  Big smile showing us her French Connection purchases inspired by the shop's display of a charm package on point.

Linda told us that the Assiago cracker/biscuits were homemade by a friend.

Ruth S has a birthday coming up on Saturday!
Gayle’s birthday was this past Monday!
Ruth S showed this donation quilt from the Tuesday group.

The back of the donation quilt.  This is a speedy way to make a donation quilt by using a panel for the front and a patterned whole cloth for the back.

Ruth S is making a face quilt for her sister.  Maggie brought some great fabric for Ruth to use in this project
Ruth was thrilled to get the fun fabric for her sister’s quilt.

Candy showed this table topper a few weeks ago and Gayle  really loved it, so  now she can enjoy it at her home.

Maggie found these fabrics at a quilt shop in Angier.

Deborah and Linda didn’t have a show and tell this week but with all the creativity from this group, I’m sure they were inspired!

Until next week…..happy quilting!!
