8/25/2022 CCLQ at Lynda's

 Garden Greetings

to the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters weekly meeting!

Lynda's garden sure provided colorful inspiration to all.

Gayle told us that the Blue Herron is complete and is hanging over the fire place.  She is starting on a quilt using Vincent Van Gogh Starry Night fabric from Missouri star.  Never ending mowing and weed whacking she now has some help to free her up for the yard work she prefers to do.

Carol has both a practice challenge of 2022 and the true challenge in the works.  In baby mode with quilts, smocking, and knitting.  Since both twin sons are expecting grand babies.

Deborha finished the bear collage with some great stitching that enhances the vista. She got the dear stella fabrics for the bison  pattern soon to be out this fall.

Linda has refrained from fabric purchases this week  and is fermenting with the Cattitude fabric recently purchased.  Her sewing station is all set up and has started fussy cutting with some pattern.

Maggie has a donation quilt all done ready to hand in at the next Tuesday Group meeting at the Senior Center.

Ruth's eye surgery was done with great success. She is currently sporting a  Bandage contact lens.  Who knew there was such a bandage?

Ella not too much but has this black and white top that is for a friend who decorates in black and white.

Lynda. Starting on a 3rd twin quilt (Last one is at Britt's next to be quilted).  The plan is to have 3 ready when the grand kids come to visit in October.

Until Next week

Be well. Do good work. And keep in touch.

8/18/2022 CCLQ at Maggies

Welcome to the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters weekly meeting!

Lynda has some tiny critters all framed up just waiting for the final borders.

Carol has another crumb design ... so many crumbs and so many designs.  It's a wonder.

Deedee had much to share from her latest trip down to South Carolina.  Didn't catch which museum this spectacular tread paintings were shown but we sure enjoyed seeing the photos.  As well as her latest stash additions.

Deborah revised the mountain vista so the collage bear is center stage.

Cheryl shared the gifting of her Blue Hunter Star quilt that turned out just wonderful.  She is starting on a unique Bear Paw Quilt we hope to see more of as it progresses.

This blogger isn't doing too good capturing all the discussions but will continue to try.

Until next week.  Sew On!

8/11/2022 CCLQ @ Deedee's

Welcome!

The weather was just wonderful for this week's Cherry Creek Lane Quilters meeting.

Carol continues on the "Crumb" quilt road with this donation quilt she is binding.

Linda has put together a meow-zing collection of fabrics and a few patterns.  Some online purchases and others from a recent trip to Charlottesville VA.

Deedee did another collage art quilt of an electric green beatle.

Maggie showed a finished Wedding Quilt for her niece Ally; quilting done by Britt.

Gayle finished her collage quilt and it so fits her style; can't wait to see it on a wall of her house.

Candy has two (no make that three) quilts ready for donation.

Couching with yarn gives a break between the quilt blocks and the border.

Candy also shared some books; Deedee wanted the Strips that Sizzle and the Blended borders book was used for the 3rd small now a donation quilt.

Pinwheel ornaments may need a little rework since the fusible web is not holding together.

Ruth has the blocks all together for this lap quilt that is destined for a friend.  As well as 2 baby donation tops that a ready for quilting.

That's it for this week.
