3/18/21 - CCLQ @ ZoomBEE

Welcome to the post-workshop edition of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters!  This week Ruth B. was our hostess.  Thanks for managing our thirteen members and one guest present for this NT Faces Workshop review meeting.  A big THANK YOU to DeeDee for inspiring us with the Faces Quilt project.  Everyone had so much fun with this creative process.

Show and Tell...

Joy:  working on a lovely beach scene quilt for the Blog Hop. Gayle says, “That’ll be beautiful in my house.”  Shared a  couple of colorful pin cushion tops. Shared bits and pieces of other colorful scraps in progress.  Joy is also working on some “definition” quilts with words.  Shared her sweet Faces Quilt in progress.







Britt:



Showed her beautiful Faces Quilt  with flowers in her hair and a bird on her shoulder. Britt finished her fourth rug with lovely greens, blues and purples. Shared the stunning tree of life commission quilt.





DeeDee:



has the marvelous mini nine patch on the design wall.  The nine patches are set on point for a pleasing design.  Shared her wonderful  Faces Quilt.



Carol:


shared her marvelous Face Quilt.


Deborah:


finished all 12 Blocks of the Month. Shared her Faces Quilt.  Wants to send our blog link to Freddy Moran when we have all the photos.



Lynda:



making some pillow tops to work on free motion quilting using scraps from small squares quilt. Has been doing a lot of gardening.






Maggie:


purchased a ruler for meandering quilting and is using left over blocks to practice free motion quilting. Worked on a top during the Faces Sew Saturday .  Shared a beautiful twelve block quilt top that’s finished.  Idea for this quilt was  from a magazine.








Gayle:



ordered some fabric for backing from Michael’s. Shared her lovely faces quilt.  Gayle reported she had so much fun making this project!





Cheryl K:



Had a zoom baby shower and shared the modern baby quilt she sent to Ohio for this baby shower. Working in garden.  Picked out fabric for the Faces Quilt and will get to that later. Going to Pineapple Fabrics today.




Ella:





Finishing up the border on the blue quilt.

Ruth S:




Shared her fabulous  Faces Quilt. Ruth mounted her quilt on a foam core board.

Candy:



had company for several days, so no show and tell.


Karen:



shared her lovely Faces Quilt with birds and gardening motifs.  Eyes were made from  poppies fabric.

Ruth B:



showed her Faces quilt in progress. Ruth created a lovely blue pieced background for her Faces Quilt.
