5/9/19: CCLQ at Lynda’s

Welcome to the weekly meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters’ bee.  This week eight quilters and one junior quilter met at Lynda’s lovely home.  Enjoy reading about our "show and tell" and read about our field trip to the new G's Quilt and Craft Retreat Center in Hillsborough!

Lynda gave a tour of her new home and of course we got to see some spectacular quilts.  Lynda made this quilt from a Sue Spargo pattern. This one is called "Earth and Twig."

Lynda is currently working on a new Sue Spargo Quilt.
This gorgeous quilt uses Kaffe Fassett fabric and a Kim McLean appliqué pattern.
DeeDee was happily working on some half square triangles for a leaders and enders project.  She reported all the tulip blocks are done but one and she's busy working on the secret quilt challenge with Deborah.
Joy made this quilted basket as a commission.
Joy also received this surprise gift from Deborah for adding a comment to the Nimble Thimbles blog!
Yay!  A yard of fabric!  Just for answering a question on the blog!
Joanna reported that her quilt is up on the design wall so it's not  ready for show and tell.
Candy showed this awesome unicorn quilt that she is making for her bereavement counselor.
Ruth shared this pattern that she recently purchased during her travels.
Ruth is making this adorable hedgehog block for a pillow for her daughter.
Ruth found some nice backing fabric for her donation quilt.
Margaret has already made this wonderful Dash quilt top which will be a baby quilt for her niece.
Margaret will use this colorful backing for the baby quilt.

Margaret shared the beautiful quilt she's making for her son's college graduation.

This is the back of the quilt.  Margaret used a "quilt as you go" method.

Gayle worked on the binding on this lovely donation quilt.

Deborah showed some Hungry Alphabet Animal blocks for her granddaughter's quilt.
