9/14/17: CCLQ at Ella's

Welcome to the weekly meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters.  This week nine quilters met at Ella's home.

Ella found these beautiful UFO blocks.  They are from a 2005 shop hop in Kansas!  There were 13 stores and Ella only has 11 blocks so she's not sure what happened to the other two blocks. Keep reading to find out more about this UFO!
Yummy treats at Ella's

Ella always has a stunning new quilt hanging in her living room.

Ruth S sent this photo of pillow cases she made for the folks affected by Hurricane  Harvey. Thanks Ruth and we look forward to seeing you soon!

Candy worked on the Dear Jane embroidery.

Check out these new borders on Baby Noah's quilt!

Ruth B is happy to be working again on the borders of the wonderful Twirling in Reverse Quilt.

Ella has these gorgeous twin quilts almost ready.
She asked for advice on a color for the binding.

Ella plans to use this pattern to make one more block for her 2005 shop hop quilt.

After lots of rearranging, here's a pleasing layout for Ella's shop hop quilt.

The group really got into helping Ella with the shop hop quilt!

Deborah happily showed the Honey Bee quilt which Gayle  quilted for her last week.

Joy worked on some knitting. Joy stopped by to see the Police Support Quilt. They want to frame it and want a copy of the back label to display in the frame as well.  Candy will send Joy a copy of the label.

Britt worked on some appliqué. Britt announced there will be a Sew Sunday at her house to make pillow cases for the Hurricane Harvey project through Missouri Star Quilt Company.

What's Cheryl going to do with these luscious fabrics?

She plans to make a Christmas table runner. Cheryl also reported that she finished the book bag for Steve and he loves it!

Jean made this delightful baby quilt using a Missouri Star Quilt Company YouTube pattern called Pecking Order.  Jean is also working on a quilt for her friend Amy.

Gayle worked on this lovely UNC appliqué and embroidery project.

The group dined at Saxapahaw General Store Cafe.

Until next week,  needle+thread+cloth=quilt! Have fun with it!
