11/14/24 CCLQ @ Passmore Hosted by Linda

Welcome to the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters weekly meeting.  This week nine members assembled at the Passmore Center and enjoyed the goodies provided by Linda.  As well as shared a couple of hours of conversation and show-n-tell.

Lynda started off with some tells about continued work on the christmas quilt binding and donation quilt she is making with some wonderful Kaffe scrap squares.

Maggie told about the workshop last Saturday for the kaleidoscope block given by the "Pizza Girls", Patty and Cindy of Quilters Gallery.  Here is the runner she made from the class then a more neutral color way of a lap quilt that was started years back.

Carol shared that she has started using her plethora of colorful scraps to make her version of the Gypsy Wife pattern.

Deedee was the lucky recipient of two gifts.  A Shirt made by Gayle and some fabric (Yoga Animals) from Deborah.  She is finishing up the binding on a donation quilt and may be starting a "Beaded Bracelets" quilt.  She shared an orphan block made via the Stack and Wack method as well as a new layercake.

Gayle has finished a 2nd version of this modern quilt.  Just love those half square blocks for the outer border ... it's like they are dancing around the quilt.

Deborah brought in her purchases from Pineapple/Keepsake.  And shared the Hearts quilt top in progress from her design wall.

Cheryl shared a pattern book Indian Summer which has a fall table runner she as inspiration for her version.  She is going to start on a baby quilt from the focus birds fabric.  She also shared the bag and case that she made for Stephen's yoga gear.

Ella has some new glasses and is better able to finish a runner and the latest top on her design wall.

Linda has a new panel to work with and has her 2024 Round Robin Challenge all completed and ready to hangup on her bedroom wall. It was hard for the group to remember which blocks they worked on because they all are just wonderful.

That's all for this week.

Keep your needles and mind sharp.
