Welcome to the weekly meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters.
It was a wet start for the group but a great bit of discussions before we got started with Show-n-Tell.
Linda started off inviting everyone to have a bit to eat and the cantalope was delish. No quilting shows for this week.
Maggie shared the DOQG website to register our Block Round Robin challenge for the show in October. The link is here: https://www.durhamorangequilters.org/entryform2024/
Next she showed her purchases from the weekend road trip to New Jersey. Next was a small Halloween Bat wall hanging and finally a donation quilt for an adult.
Gayle was next with a wonderful new tote bag. She is having fun figuring out the best way to make tote's. Each one she makes will have more features (pockets and zippers Oh My!). She also worked on some gardening fabric ... you know that black landscape fabric.
Deborah showed the quilted bonus Heart n Lines quilt that Gayle quilted. The backing fabric is not dots but little hearts. The fabric line is Love Lilly by April Rosenthal Life is tough and so are you by Moda.
DeeDee Showed the finished Noah's Arc for a little girl named Callie.
After filling all those animals she made a christmas ornament pyramid.
Carol has two tops ready. From some batik blocks given to her from DeeDee she made this lap top that some older child is sure to love. From some left over pieces in Pink and Green she came up with this row quilt top that again is sure to make some child happy.
Candy took a Paddington soft book panel and made a wall hanging. She got some advice on how to quilt it with serpintine lines in one direction and then decide if it needs to have the direction.
Cheryl has this bright yellow child's donation quilt all done and ready to hand into the guild.
That's all for this week ... stay dry and keep sewing!
