11/21/24: CCLQ at Ruth S

 Happy Thanksgiving!  



Welcome to the weekly meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters.  Eleven quilters met at Ruth S’s home. We enjoyed lots of fun show and tell in addition to a delicious apple crisp and other snacks. Hope you will enjoy seeing all the beautiful quilts and other handiwork made by this joyful group of friends.

Cheryl has been busy busy!  She made two quilted bags for gifts. 

Cheryl finished one of Barry’s quilts for donation. Gayle quilted this one.

Cheryl also finished the top of this sweet baby quilt for her friend’s daughter. 

Joy was busy knitting a pair of socks to go with her new blue shoes. 

Lynda finished this beautiful Christmas quilt. 

Here’s the soft flannel backing she used. 

Lynda expressed that she’s having fun making this happy scrappy quilt using left over Kaffe fabrics. She plans to add another border. 

Lynda found this collection of Debbie Mum fabric and plans to make a donation quilt with it. 

Gayle made a cute baby quilt for donation. 

Gayle is excited about decorating for Christmas and made this beautiful Christmas wall hanging to go over her fireplace. 

Candy made this lovely table runner for a friend as a house warming gift. Candy also shared that she has started on the second baby quilt. 

Ruth has been busy making placemats for Christmas gifts. 



Ruth found a Thanksgiving panel in her stash and made these cute mug rugs to take as a hostess gift for Thanksgiving. 

Deborah finished the top of this baby quilt.  She’s ordered the backing fabric and hopes to finish this project soon. 

Deborah made this pillow for her niece’s birthday. 

Carol used animal blocks from Maggie to make this adorable donation quilt.

Carol has started her Gypsy Wife quilt. 

Maggie didn’t have a quilt to show but was wearing a cute T-shirt. 

DeeDee made two quilted bags for Christmas gifts. 


DeeDee plans to made a travel crossbody bag from this pattern.

11/14/24 CCLQ @ Passmore Hosted by Linda

 

Welcome to the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters weekly meeting.  This week nine members assembled at the Passmore Center and enjoyed the goodies provided by Linda.  As well as shared a couple of hours of conversation and show-n-tell.   


Lynda started off with some tells about continued work on the christmas quilt binding and donation quilt she is making with some wonderful Kaffe scrap squares.


Maggie told about the workshop last Saturday for the kaleidoscope block given by the "Pizza Girls", Patty and Cindy of Quilters Gallery.  Here is the runner she made from the class then a more neutral color way of a lap quilt that was started years back.
 



Carol shared that she has started using her plethora of colorful scraps to make her version of the Gypsy Wife pattern.


 

Deedee was the lucky recipient of two gifts.  A Shirt made by Gayle and some fabric (Yoga Animals) from Deborah.  She is finishing up the binding on a donation quilt and may be starting a "Beaded Bracelets" quilt.  She shared an orphan block made via the Stack and Wack method as well as a new layercake.







Gayle has finished a 2nd version of this modern quilt.  Just love those half square blocks for the outer border ... it's like they are dancing around the quilt.
 

Deborah brought in her purchases from Pineapple/Keepsake.  And shared the Hearts quilt top in progress from her design wall.

 





Cheryl shared a pattern book Indian Summer which has a fall table runner she as inspiration for her version.  She is going to start on a baby quilt from the focus birds fabric.  She also shared the bag and case that she made for Stephen's yoga gear.



 


Ella has some new glasses and is better able to finish a runner and the latest top on her design wall.



Linda has a new panel to work with and has her 2024 Round Robin Challenge all completed and ready to hangup on her bedroom wall. It was hard for the group to remember which blocks they worked on because they all are just wonderful.
