Lynda showed the basted Red Panda donation she is working on and TWO more City Cat tops.

Candy has this "Big Day" baby donation ready to hand over.

Britt shared a design sheet that shows various layouts of some string half square blocks.  The Slanted Rails is proceeding along in columns.

Ella is having machine issues and has to get not one but 2 machines fixed up.  

Maggie got her Cali-n-Co Mystery quilt back from Britt and can't wait to get it home to trim up.  Her Big Block 3 Yard Quilt top is done and just looking for a better match for the backing fabric.  She also shared a tool she has for picking up lint Fur Daddy  it was a gift that I'm sure didn't cost as much as seen with a google search.  Finally she shared a two sided donation quilt that has Barry Peace's framed star on the front and one of her old UFO log cabin on the back.  The spiral quilting motif works for both sides.

Deborah pointed out the next Cherrywood challenge inspired by Jane Goodall.  She has a patriotic bundle and pattern ready to start cutting.  She finished the runner her Mom had started.  She shared a picture of the whole cloth quilt her friend has hanging in her home.

Deedee has a scrappy donation completed and ready to hand in.  We all agree we miss the Pineapple sales (the backing fabric came from a warehouse sale)

Joyful was our host and is sporting a vintage quilting T-shirt custom hand dyed.   

6/20/26 - NT Sew Day @ SECU Family House

Welcome to the Nimble Thimbles blog!!  Saturday, June 20th was our Quilt Bee's quarterly Sew Day at SECU Family House where our member Candy volunteers.

Joy began the day by quilting on her June UFO:

Britt has a number or rows together on the slanted rails.

Deborah had a grand time visiting family.

Candy is working on using up triangles via a lemoyne star pattern from Stack-n-Wack book.  Photographer missed the block photo ... to intent on how they go together.  We'll wait to see what they look like next time.

DeeDee has a scrappy donation quilt ready for binding.  And She got back a QUilt of Valor from Britt who did the longarm quilting after the ties were removed.  The quilt was given to her neighbor and got stored in a cedar chest.  So it's getting a new chance to honor another veteran.

Cheryl is very happy to have used a number of "House" orphan blocks to make this improv donation quilt.  This was a reset project when the Wedding Rings QAYG blocks were giving her fits.  Lets hope the QAYG link shared will help.

Gayle has got her very last commissioned quilt almost done (just binding to go).

Maggie got some new camper fabric from Cary Quilting.  She finished a Villa Rosa pattern Jolie for a boy donation (the backing dragon and knight fabric is really cute).   She also got back from Britt her Passmore Challenge Quilt for 2026.
