3/28/19: CCLQ at Ruth S

Spring has sprung and the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters are busy as bees.  This week 11 quilters met at Ruth S's home.  Enjoy looking at the wonderful quilts and other projects from these talented friends.

You know you're at the home of a quilter when you see this upon entering the front door!

Ruth S has a wonderful display of quilts on her balcony. Many of these are antique quilts.
Gorgeous quilts
More delightful quilts
Ruth made this one!
Ruth S purchased this exceptional quilt at the DOQ pop up art sale.  It's by Patti Postage and  entitled,  "Fireworks" and is wired with blinking lights!
Here's the back with battery packs to keep the lights flashing.
This quilt reminds me of Spring! Ruth S made this colorful donation quilt.
Cheryl's working on the binding of the quilt for Andrew and Marianna.  Everyone wanted to take another look at this fabulous quilt.
Ella made this delightful bunny quilt for her great niece's baby.
Close up of the awesome quilting by Joanna!
DeeDee added thread to her new cabinet!

Ella made this wonderful apron with wonderful quilt inspired sayings:  "Quilters stick together," and  "She dances with needle and thread."

Ruth B is making good progress on her churn dash quilt from Ella's fabric.

Cheryl has made the top for a baby quilt.

Cheryl plans to use this incredible ombre fabric for the border of the baby quilt. Jean takes a closer look.  Gayle is not in the frame but also wanted to touch and see the aqua ombre fabric.  I think it came from Pineapple Fabrics.

Joanna shared this book with the group for ideas on quilting designs.

Ruth S gave DeeDee these blocks and DeeDee made this delightful donation quilt.
Jean is making this scrumptious silk quilt for a friend who is opening a new dental practice in Chatham County.

Jean visited New Orleans with her "bowling club."

Gayle shared this colorful thread catcher that Joy made for her.

Gayle made this wonderful donation quilt.

Gayle is one happy quilter!  She made this coastal color inspired quilt from fabric in her stash! It's also a donation quilt.
Deborah made this beach inspired table runner for Gayle's new house.

Until next time, happy...happy quilting!!!!
