5/30/19: CCLQ at Joanna’s

Welcome to the weekly meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters. This week, eight quilters met at Joanna’s home.  A big thank you to Joy for organizing and adding text to the blog post!

Alas, Joy had to leave early so things may appear out of order to those in attendance.  For the rest of us, it's all good!

Joanna appears to be working on a new RED quilt:

She also quilt this beautiful expanded version of a Tuesday Group pattern favorite:

Joanna has used THIS pattern:

... To make blocks for a new quilt, currently on her design wall:

Candy had a Show and Ask regarding her Unicorn quilt:

Joanna used THIS book...

... To create this Uneven 9-Patch quilt:

It has just come off the rails of her longarm quilting machine:

(One of) Her Stonehenge quilts graced the living room wall:

Ruth B. was in attendance, but had nothing to show this time:

Gayle added an applique flower to her recently completed quilt that "needed a little something" to give it some punch:

Cheryl K. made a couple of Sleeping Masks for herself and DH for their upcoming flight to Spain:

Dee Dee worked on a little something during the meeting and...

... Had a surprise for Joy!!  Dee Dee won this cute sewing machine fabric, but hasn't used it.  She thought it might be a good lining for one of Joy's quilted baskets:

Cheryl K. has a story about this fabric, but you will have to ask her about it when she gets back from Spain:

Deborah shared her beautiful book, AWAKEN, which includes (if memory serves me) paintings on silk:

Gayle worked on some hand sewing:

Enjoy your trip, Deborah!  SEW glad that I was able to get SOME of the information from Joanna's meeting.

Until next time...
Happily quilting our lives together!!
