12/3/20 - CCLQ @ ZoomBEE

Welcome to this week's (virtual) meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters!!  There were 10 members commiserating on the challenges of holidays during a pandemic.  A number of us did manage some sewing projects.  Thanks go out to Deborah for scheduling our meetings and to Joy for filling in as our hostess today.

Ruth S...







Shared a new mask that she designed with short elastic on the bottom and longer on the top.  Showed a fabric drawstring bag that she and her granddaughter made with fabrics from Pineapple Fabric.  Made ten prayer pockets. 


Carol...






Came to us from the North Pole!  Her beautiful North Pole Christmas tree was in view.  Finished a quilt for her grandson with truck fabric panel from Ruth S’s friend Donna. Working on binding for Lutheran Donation quilt.


Deborah...



Mailed baby quilt to niece. Lull in creative juices lately but getting geared up to make dolls and Christmas ornaments for family.

Working on beautiful bird panel quilt for neighbor who is not well.


Britt...








Quilted Candy’s donation quilt. Shared some amazing quilting on background for tree commission quilt.


Candy...





Grandson wanted the truck panel fabric just as it was without quilting and took it home with him! Granddaughter loves the penguin panel and Candy is thinking of making a body pillow out of it. She's been entertaining border ideas for the baby quilt on her design wall.



Ruth B...






Black and white quilt was delivered and they liked it a lot! Bought some fabrics on the way to visit family at Thanksgiving.


Joy...





Showed a beautiful pink and green quilt on the longarm machine...made by Carol..
Made a Neutral scrap basket.  Released a tutorial (LINK) on her blog about how she makes fabric baskets!  Lots of new projects in the works. Visited Joanna and saw the birthday postcards displayed in her room.


Linda...




Was joined by kitty for Zoom.


Maggie...







Shared an awesome wacky Christmas tree table runner. Great quilting with serpentine stitch.  Quilted a demo quilt from long ago when Maggie showed the group how to do mitered corners. Shared a lovely Christmas tree table runner. Almost finished with year long block of the month quilt. Needs to add one more border.


Pattern Update...

Anyone have a book named Bloom Creek?  Joy found that it is supposedly where the pattern for "Bonnie's Quilt" was published.  Here is the LINK to this lovely example made by  Maggie @ Making a Lather blog:
