4/7/2022 CCLQ at Ruth's

Welcome to the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters weekly meeting.

Ruth showed her super fast completed Heron.

Ruth B. show a new baby quilt and told about her latest Dentist Adventure (sorry I missed the pearly whites in a smile).

Candy showed the start of a baby quilt but had to point out the one block that isn't following the pattern and she spent the meeting reverse sewing the seams.

Linda received some extra strips from Ruth B to go with her Virginia quilt.

DeeDee shared some wonderful magazines/catalogs.

Maggie showed a 4-patch recut with the starting squares at 6" as per Nina of the Tuesday group. As well as the DOQG block for the April meeting.

Carol has been supper busy with a variety of quilt tops.

Ella showed the start of a quilt that everyone agreed didn't have to have an outer border.

Bonus story from Dee Dee about the previous Tuesday morning half square triangle layout.  She had this photo on her phone and wanted to do the same on her design wall.  The Question is How Many Quilters does it take to arrange the 160 half square triangles?   the answer is ALL that are in the room at the time.  Ha Ha!

The pattern was discovered on the internet and was ordered by Dee Dee to help finish this up and be ready for any future desire to do this again.   Pattern is Solar Flare by Villa Rosa Designs.  The blue lines outline how the layout is split into 8 units where the triangles join either vertically or horizontally.  A real mind bender when you are working from a small photo on a phone.
