10/01/2026 CCLQ @ Cheryl's

Welcome to the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters weekly meeting.

This week was post Quilt Show of the Durham Orange Quilters Guild so you will see a number of photo's of fabric, patterns, and boutique items that we all just had to buy.

Maggie didn't have anything new so here is a "quilt" with no quilting.  I does have a batting and binding but it was before she ever knew what a walking foot was for.  cira 1996.

Candy got her challenge quilt back and Agatha is going home with her.

Ella has some clean up to do in the sewing room after working on 2 quilts with a bunch of blue half squares.  Good news one top is done, just some straighting up and the 2nd top will be a snap.

Deedee has Josette's top ready for Britt to quilt and she found a wide back from connecting threads.  She also finished 6 placemats from a christmas panel that is heading for the Passmore Holiday Market.  The group gave her some ideas for the "Irons" panel she has been inspired by the quilt show to get out and work on.

Cheryl showed a quilt that she made for a friend that sure doesn't look blue but it looked so nice the friend changed her color request.

Britt had a mega stash of new fabrics from both the guild meeting by designer Deb Strain and the show vendors and boutique.

Lynda also scored some great goodies.  A pattern and rulers from Studio 180 and a boutique Hedi original of the reversible bucket hat. And last is a kit with all pre-cut fabrics ... can you say sit and sew.

Deborah showed us her award winning quilt that uses the photo's of water from space.  She also did some shopping at the guild meeting.  She shared info about a show she attended in Greensboro that will be there for another 14 days.

Joy did some show shopping as well as making a quilt.  Atleast someone got to put the petal to the metal.

That's all for this week!
