Gayle led the "workshop" based on a MSQC video tutorial.
Between the "teacher" and her four "students, we made seventeen pillowcases!!
Two came in the mail:
Ruth S. made them:
Gayle had hers cut and ready to sew:
Candy sent donation fabric which we paired up:
Joy brought these from her big donation bin:
Britt was happy to learn a new-to-her technique:
Ruth B. used some of Cheryl K's donation fabric:
Gayle demonstrated the "sausage" pillowcase technique:
She's thrilled that it is SEW easy:
Armed with matched fabric, Joy got busy sewing:
Britt chose some beautiful fabrics from her stash:
The "tube" is going through the machine:
Ruth B. is pleased to be using a borrowed machine, as hers is heavy, as well as currently in storage:
Linda arrived and got right to work:
Joy's first pillowcase is done:
Britt is starting the tube turning process:
Ruth B. has one done...
... And she THOUGHT she could get away without having her picture made! NOT:
Linda is enthralled by the magic of the tube turning:
"Teacher" Gayle is an overachiever with FOUR completed cases:
Joy with her 2nd case of the day:
Linda pins carefully:
Margaret stopped by with a couple of pillowcases:
Ruth B. is somewhere behind this pillowcase:
Oh! There she is:
Candy stopped by with FOUR pillowcases and dessert:
Joy finished case number three...
... Along with its fraternal twin:
Three sets remained at the end of the day:
Eight cases were mailed or dropped off:
What a productive day:
The completed pillowcase stack is about 12" tall:
Special thanks to Britt for opening her home to host this event. It was SEW much fun!! Better still, we were pleased to be helping others.
Until next time...
