2/1 - CCLQ at Ruth S' house

We had a wonderful gathering at Ruth S' house with yummy food and 10 of us in attendance. Here's a peek at what we've been up to.

Our hostess started us off with her test "100s" block...jury is out but this may be destined to be the only one made.

But Ruth S had a finish up her sleeve - her tree quilt!
Gayle was working on trimming up some HST
Deborah showed off the beautiful quilt top for her bed with a border she came up with from leftover block parts.

Candy was binding her quilt and shared a pretty pattern (with unclear instructions). Hoping to see a real life version soon!

Jean had show and tell. Her tell was that she's really getting into her embroidery unit on her Bernina and she's going to take a class and showed off the quilt she may ultimately make.  She also showed off a lovely embroidered band - you place an LED tea light in the middle. Sooo pretty!

Deedee was there working on her adorable cat applique.  Photographer fail - the picture was WAY too backlit.

Ella joined us too and shared pillowcases for her grandsons who are crazy about their chickens, plus a fabric basket she made from a great horse fabric.

Ruth B was doing handwork and shared the Thomas Fire blocks she made. We only need 7 more for a quilt! Thanks to everyone participating.

Like Ella, Britt caught the basket bug from Joy. These will hold her green scraps. She also reported good progress on her niece's butterfly quilt.
Joanna spent some time redrafting a fish quilt pattern. See her test block and the picture she's working from below.

She also shared a gorgeous quilt top -she's currently pondering quilting ideas. Can't wait to see this one done!

Even though work kept Joy from joining us, she shared a miniature she recently finished. Those HST are itty bitty!

Most of us headed out for a delicious lunch at a nearby Greek restaurant. Yum!
