1/27 - NT Nights @ Hboro Library

Welcome to the January meeting of the Nimble Thimbles Nighttime Quilt Bee!!  Seven members gathered in the large meeting room at the Hillsborough Branch of the Orange County (NC) Public Library.  The evening progressed like this...

Margaret was busy laying out a quilt on the "design floor":

Upon arrival, Carol took a look at the books Margaret brought:

Karen W. brought along these sweet fabric pentagons:

Margaret completed a special request for her nephew:

This will replace his last quilt that burned in a house fire:

Margaret's warning to all:
Do NOT charge your computer on your couch!!!

Karen V. stitched down binding... until she ran out of thread:

Joy showed off her newly completed commission quilt:

It was her client's 30 year old UFO, but now it is DONE:

New hat, Joy???

This is the quilt that Karen V. was binding:

Here is a close-up of her quilting:

Here is another look at Joy's new Scrappy Fabric Scrap Basket:

Carol spent the evening knitting on a baby blanket:

Britt shared the Scrappy Fabric Scrap Basket that she made:

Look!! Basket twins:

Karen W. is making a Jingle Ball from the fabric shown earlier:

Britt showed the border for her niece's quilt before she worked on  trimming up some fabric scraps:

Joy also put in some stitches on her Hoodie Shawl Cardigan.

Here's half of Karen W's Jingle Ball- pictured with the magazine she brought to occupy her time if the ball was completed:

Margaret's (scrappy) quilt with rows all pinned, rows labeled...

... She closed up her pins and folded up the rows. Ready to sew:

Kirsten was serious about working on her sister's stole:

With quilt blocks pinned, Margaret traced some pattern pieces:

Until next time...
