3/17 - NT @ Candy's

Welcome to the March meeting of the Nimble Thimbles Quilt Bee!!  Eight of us were at Candy's house today.  Thanks for having us over and thanks to everyone who contributed to our meal!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!  Joy is NOT getting pinched:

Let the Show and Tell begin...

Candy has been on a Table Topper kick:

She decided to redecorate with quilts:

They use a pattern that Jean shared at CCLQ:

Candy is enjoying the quilting practice:

How many quilts do YOU see in this photo:

Linda told us about her multi-use sweatshirt:

Field trip!!!  Candy's newest Table Runner:

One using her ever-popular couching technique:

I spy snuggle quilts:

Joy brought her treasures from Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival:

Everyone was amazed at the (small) size of the bag:

She also shared her most recent projects:

Margaret made VA blocks for DOQ, too:

Brit made a beautiful new basket:

Linda bought some of the softest flannel:

Cute, too!!

Candy worked on a quilt binding:

This is Linda's handy gadget:

She wound on a number of threaded needles for binding this quilt:

Here is one of Candy's new pillows made from Pineapple Fabrics:

Candy's neighbor noticed our straight parking job... and we didn't even use a ruler:

Dee Dee has been sick since the Mid-Atlantic trip:

Helena was happy to be with us today:

She showed off the green on her socks:

Not to be outdone, Dee Dee showed hers, too:

Margaret is ready for Monday's Guild meeting.  She will be sharing a flashback to her 1st quilt:

Commenting how things didn't line up just so:

Her 1st Log Cabin quilt is still a top:

This is Margaret's latest quilt:

The dotted fabric is a gradient:

Britt thinks this pattern may be from Kris7's mother:

Gayle made her 1st quilt that included Prairie Points:

Joy passed around her new magazine for browsing:

Gayle finished her Craftsy quilt kit:

More than a 1000 HSTs:

A closer look:

The main block:

Here's a look at the quilting from the back:

This was Margaret's 1st bag:

Britt finished a doll quilt for A Doll Like Me donation:

Let's get a closer look:

Happy Birthday, Dee Dee:

We sang.  Now, blow out the candles:

Hopefully, I got everything right.  Not likely, considering Linda noticed that I wasn't furiously scribbling in my notebook about halfway through the meeting.

Oops!!  I had left the notebook at home and never noticed.

I wondered why Britt was asking if I wanted her to take pictures at the beginning of the meeting.  LOL!!

Until next time...
Happy International Quilting Day!!!

  1. Is there a pattern for Margaret's cross quilt???? I've been asked to make some small quilts/banners for our church. Margaret's quilt is stunning.
