Welcome to this week's meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters!!  There were 13 members in attendance.  Our hostess for the day was Cheryl K.  Thank you for keeping the proceedings in motion, Cheryl!

Group photo, Take Two...

Just after taking that photo, Britt and Cheryl B. joined the meeting:

Meeting Notes from Deborah are paired with Show and Tell Photos from Joy...

Deborah:  Block of the month number 9 done.  Making a “you are my sunshine” pillow for sister.

Britt:  finished LWR donation quilt. Tried out her new panto on it and that was fun…lots of swirls.  Britt is doing Joy’s table runner challenge. She created a deep purple table runner with half square triangles of bright colors!

Candy:  showed a beautiful quilt that Britt quilted.  Candy finished the binding and was able to snuggle under the quilt last night. Made adorable valentine quilted sleeping bags for stuffed animals for her grandchildren. Blocks are from “You and Me” on Etsy by Ellis and Higgs.com. ( Candy will send Joy a link.)

The heart blocks that Candy showed this morning came from a person named Nadra Ridgeway at www.ellisandhiggs.com.  However, the easiest way to order is on Etsy.  At the Etsy search field, type in "elissandhiggs".  ( she also made little wall hangings from her "pumpkin" pattern.)  Her directions are great:

Additional photos were sent to Joy for sharing here on the blog:

Carol: working on Joy’s table runner challenge…made a mug rug and then made a quilt as you go table runner with batik scraps. Has picked up a cute kids quilt that Joy quilted  for her.

Britt explained how to post a photo from Instagram for the TABLE SCRAPS Challenge host on Joy's blog:

Gayle: got a panel at the DOQ silent auction a couple of years ago…it’s now a baby quilt.  Gayle quilted it  with  lots of swirls and outlined the critters on the quilt. Ordered some Tula Pink polka dots and stripes.

Ruth S: finished the crazy Christmas tree table runner. Found a tutorial online on how to quilt this quilt. Took some donation quilts to Sarah’s.  Bought some colorful fabric.  Also bought some playing card fabric to make a bag for Donna. Also found a beautiful fabric panel of colorful birds.  Fabrics from Hancocks of Paducah. Missing Jean, wherever you are!!  :o((

This photo was sent for a better look at Ruth's runner:

Joy: Made a mini quilt with cars.  Shared a beautiful pink table runner. Joy is working on a complex Round Robin project.

Not sure what Britt was celebrating.  LOL!!

DeeDee: almost half way done with quilting the Carolina lily quilt.  Mixed media group doing an abstract portrait piece. Will show that next week.

Lynda: completed a second block of the bright squares quilt. The whole quilt requires nine big blocks and Lynda is having so much fun making these blocks…she plans to make all nine!

Ella:  looking for a pattern for using up her small half square triangles.

Maggie: had a fat quarter exchange with another group…used Elfser to do the exchange. Maggie received a wonderful bunch of hexi-polka dots. Finished a dramatic Pineapple fabrics quilt top using 3.5" squares and 9.5 x 3.5" rectangles. Made another colorful donation quilt with a star in the center. Working on a weekly mystery quilt project. Grid Girls on Facebook is the mystery group.

Cheryl B: working on the house quilt blocks.  Has made three blocks so far.  Plans to appliqué them onto a quilt that she started quite a while ago.

Dee Dee was amazed by Cheryl's blocks:

Cheryl K: finished her butterfly quilt for her friend.  Used two different decorative stitches for quilting. Working on a quilted bag for a friend who retired last week.  Showed some awesome fabric from Paducah.
