1/12/23: CCLQ at Cheryl K’s

Welcome to the weekly meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters. This week 10 quilters met at Cheryl’s with lots of shows, shares, and tells.

Cheryl treated the group to a delicious pistachio cake from Guglhupf Bakery.
Ruth S received this cheerful painting from her granddaughter.  Ruth thought it would be a lovely print for fabric. Ruth traveled over to Spoonflower in Durham and talked with them about the process of converting a painting into fabric.
Spoonflower gave Ruth a gift!

Inside the box were fabric samples and information about Spoonflower including a nice little flower pin and stickers.
Ruth S showed her lovely finished top from the New Year’s Eve mystery quilt project.

Lynda M has finished the center block of the  house quilt and is having so much fun making little houses.

Lynda recently went to Cary Quilting Company and found these lovely fabrics.

Paisley Rose fabrics from Cary Quilting.

Lynda finished this beautiful quilt top using two Paisley Rose layer cake precuts and white fabric. She plans to use more of the Paisley Rose for the border.

Ruth B is working on organizing her sewing space.

Ruth enjoyed the New Year’s Eve sew day and shared her work in progress from  the mystery quilt challenge.

Candy was happy to have finished the large crocheted blanket.
Here’s a larger view and Candy plans to send this to Ukraine.
