3/23/23: CCLQ at Ruth S

 Welcome to the weekly meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters.  Today the group met at Ruth S’s home. Joy provided the delicious snacks for today’s meeting. So glad Joy could join us today! Maggie and Deborah talked about the DOQ program about English paper piecing and foundation paper piecing with Tina Craig. Check out Tina’s website for free patterns here .

Ruth B brought scraps for Joy. 


Maggie sported some fun new sewing socks! 

Deborah shared some happy fabric for a new quilt project.

Maggie made this beautiful star quilt with batiks.

Maggie shared this awesome Spring Dance quilt which she plans to give to her niece for graduation.

Ruth reported that she found her Viking sewing machine feet!  She worked on binding today and brought scraps for Joy. 

Lynda continues to work on the Cinnamon Stick quilt . Britt will soon start the quilting on one of Lynda’s quilts.

Joy shared a cool pin cushion and the book with pin cushion patterns. 

Joy also brought her house quilt which was part of a challenge called Facing Fears.  Joy reported that 19 new homes will be built in her neighborhood. She calls this quilt “Welcome to the Neighborhood.”

Candy recently went to Maggie’s to use her cutting board for cutting long strips for her next project..
Candy found a new house and will move in early April. 

Linda sported a new shirt with colorful flowers that match Deborah’s new panel and Ruth’s quilt below!

Ruth shared this gorgeous floral appliqué quilt.  McKenna Ryan pattern.

Gayle happily received some small scraps from Ruth S.   Gayle reported she ordered some 2.5 inch Tula Pink fabrics.
