9/26/2024 CCLQ at Deborah's

Welcome to the weekly meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters.

This week Deborah hosted 8 quilters and here's the show-n-tell...

Lynda started off thrilled to show the group how adding a single blue border has really enhanced her challenge quilt we saw last week.  If calculations are correct she has just enough blue for binging.  Next up will be an "After Quilt" ... a pieced back that uses up all the fabrics left over from the front.

Deedee contiues with the mojo for making another table topper for the Holiday Market.  To finish she plans to pillow case keeping the zig-zag edge on the sides.  Then experiment with her machines decorative stitches.

Ella got to see the mini's made with some of her donated fabrics.  She's agreed they should be donated to the Show's Silent Auction.  She ran into a bit of an issue sewing this week she has no stash of needles so she's off to the store after the meeting.

Deborah got out one of Barry's quilt tops that she quilted/bound.  Now it is headed to the Guild Boutique.

Now for a real treat Deborah did a 3 quilt show of her Mother's quilts.  All were just lovely ... we hope to see more when Deborah hosts us next time...

Gayle had a grand 2 weeks at the beach doing a lot of sewing and an online class.  She purchased a couple of colors of Gauze fabric and has made a top with the white.  It's just so cozy looking.

And she brought her Challenge quilt for turn in to the Guild for the show Oct 4-6th.

Maggie finished a quick runner that will be in the Senior Center Holiday Market Sale - NOVEMBER 23rd 10-2 at Passmore in Hillsborough.

Carol showed two carpenter star tops that are to be gifted. The first is being handed off to Gayle for quilting.  The 2nd still needs backing.

Linda now has an "After Quilt" to serve as the backing for the "Paint Box" made with Kaffe fabrics.

Linda is also currently working on this "Flourish" pattern

And YEAH! her Keepsake Quilting Order finally arrived sporting these fabrics:

That's a wrap for this week.
