10/24/24: CCLQ at Gayle’s

The cheery Cherry Creek Lane Quilters met at Gayle’s home this week. What a fun Group!

DeeDee shared this lovely Christmas table runner.

DeeDee has completed the first block for Harbor’s quilt.

DeeDee joined an art quilt group and had fun making these improv pieces.

Carol worked her magic making these charming children’s donation quilts.

Lynda announced she attended the Tuesday group for the first time and enjoyed it. She started binding her big blue quilt. Lynda has set an intention to sew two hours per day. Others in the group said they plan to try the two hour plan too!

Remember last week when Linda showed those cute animal blocks? Linda has been busy and has created this wonderful baby quilt for her niece.

This dogwood fabric will be the backing of Linda’s baby quilt.

Gayle was happy to make  another beautiful knit top.

Gayle received two charms packs from a friend and also shopped online for some additional fabric.

Gayle made this lovely dress and she may turn it into a top.

Gayle also completed this stunning quilt from charm packs.

Gayle had fun using a free motion pattern to quilt this one.

Maggie completed this cute Christmas quilt for the Passmore Center Craft Sale.

Closer look at Maggie’s quilting.

Maggie made this adorable Scaredy Cat table runner.

What an awesome backing for the table runner.  Carol exclaimed, it was “purr-fect!”

Deborah shared the pattern for a bag she’s making for her sister.

Here’s the finished bag!

Gayle shared one more lovely top that she’s sewn.

Ella is working on a table runner and a baby quilt.

Danny is working on just being cute!

Happy sewing, making and quilting to all!

10/19/2024 NT at Britt's

Welcome to the Quarterly NT get together at Britt's house.
Eight members gathered for some pot-luck-lunch, show-n-tell, and a whole bunch of chatting.

Joy started off with the Silent Auction Quilt she bid and won.  Then this cute "4 patch" block.

Candy had a very cute panel of Panda's, her yardage of a repeated print that is destined to be cut for multiple wall hangings.  Ending off with a display of her quilt that Britt quilted and is passing back to her.

Lynda has her Holiday snuggle quilt pieced and hopes to quilt it her self on Britt's sit down machine.

Deedee did quilting on this runner just on the center squares to hold it together.  She decided against decorative stitches since the prints have enough interest.  The narrow art quilt is a combination of a variety of art pieces she has done over the years.

Carol has another child donation quilt with an eye spy feel to the centers of the blocks.

Maggie put on the last border of the Grid Girls quilt along top from the begining of the year.  Also showed some Turkey's made from Candy's pattern and a few Tree Ornaments.

Cheryl had a breath taking applique Columns quilt and some fabrics purchased at the quilt show.  The book has a pattern for one of her next projects.

Britt showed a couple of art quilts.  One was hanging in the living room after it's time in the quilt show was done. Also displayed is the pieced quilt from a very taditional block but with her fabric choices it appears contemporary and dramatic.

After the wonderful show-n-tell we all had a delicious pot-luck lunch.  Thanks for Hosting Britt.
