Welcome to this weeks meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters being hosted by Linda at the Passmore. It was a new room for the quilters and some were glad they had some extra fabric to stay warm from the A/C.
Gayle was sitting pretty as she told us she continues to work on the blocks that we saw in her sewing room.
Deborah showed us her recent purchases of b&w fabrics. The spotted checker yardage works as an emergency shawl.
Candy got her upsized cross-body bag done but it is sporting a few unintentional features. She also showed a couple of braided pattern options she is investigating for her next project.
Deedee showed a pillow cover she made with some of Ruth B's test blocks.
Maggie finished a froggie child donation quilt and then told about a workshop Ripple Effects with instructor Emma Jane Powell. The curves of the ripple are from piping. Link to Emma's video is here. Her workshop also covered a number of embelishments Deco Foil sheets, and transfer gel, foam stamps, steam-a-seam for the Foil transfer and Angelina fibers.
Carol put together this child donation top from a number of orphan pieces and boy does is look great. Keeps the eye moving around.
Ruth B. is in the process of going thru all here sewing stash and shared with us both her Kaffe squares top and a collection of handmade gifts she has gotten over the years from fellow quilters. Do you recognize any?
Britt shared some striking Free Spirit fabrics called Abandoned - by Tim Holtz. She got them at site: MxDomestic
Linda shared some delicious goodies for us to eat but no eye candy this week.
That's it. Keep sewing and creating until next week!
