7/17/25 CCLQ at Carol's

Deedee and Deborah did the final reveal of the 2 quilts they made for the children of their Doctor.   Next Deedee shared a panel that is so unique of antique irons. She plans to make a wall quilt where the irons will look like they are on a shelf.

Maggie and Alan got to visit Seagrove and she showed off her purchase from ECK Pottery.  Then on the way home they stopped at JAM Fabrics and Quilt Shop in Climax NC and she shared some fabric purchases and finally showed a donation top fresh off the sewing machine.

Gayle is sitting pretty told us about her purchase from Sew Snip of a bolt of fabric tan with leaves that she will use for backing on the next two Fellowship quilts she is working on.

Deborah told us about a Fiber artist she saw on Quilting Arts TV show where she takes fabic shavings and stitches them down on wash-away stabilizer to make nature scapes.

Candy has her runner quilted and the group gave opinions about binding colors.

Lynda showed us her lovely donation Layer cake quilt.  Britt did such a cute motif.  She then showed us a Hedgehog donation top and a pattern:"Red Rock" for another donation she plans to start.

Joy showed us a photo of the latest creation from the prior Saturday meeting.  Just love her shirt of spools and all around great look.

Linda certainly wow'ed the group with this complex block repeated 20 times in this top.

Britt is gearing up for a few days of serious quilting we'll have to wait and see the results.

Carol is entertaining Biggie and all the quilters with this donation spot lighting the MM characters as the block centers.  She shared a donation rail fence from the Tuesday Group pointing out how the backing fabric looks plush and fuzzy but is actually just cotton.  Final show-n-tell was a peak at the quilt she got back from Gayle that is beautiful and is sure to make her Daughter very happy.

That's a wrap, stay cool and keep sewing between the thunder!
