7/10/25: CCLQ at Ruth B’s

Welcome to the weekly meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters.  This week quilters met at Ruth B’s home.  Ruth provided snacks and a feeding frenzy of fabric!  The group voted to do show and tell first and could hardly contain themselves from glancing toward the huge sewing table full of fabric! A big thank you to Ruth for sharing her wonderful collection of beautiful quilting fabrics with us.

Maggie started off the show and tell with a couple of quilt books she found at McKays in Mebane.

Maggie visited Bull Town Fabrics this week and found some beauties.

This piece was in the sale room and everyone loved it. Can you find the cat?

Zoom in to see the maker of the wild and colorful fabric.

Maggie completed her project from the DOQ workshop and used some pink fabric from Bull Town fabric.

Deborah quilted the baby quilt.

Thanks to Maggie for the idea of diagonal quilting lines.

Close up of one of Maggie’s fabrics…we thought Linda H would like this one because of the purple background.

Carol completed this beautiful quilt for her daughter. They visited Cary Quilting Company and found the fabrics there.

Lovely backing fabric for Carol’s quilt.

Carol made this happy scrappy quilt with scrap fabric from Ruth B!

Carol wins the award for most quilts made in one week!  Here’s another delightful children’ s quilt featuring Arctic Animals.

Cute polar bear

DeeDee brought some extra blocks that Ruth B made for her Twirling in Reverse Quilt.

DeeDee started a four patch quilt using faux Liberty of London fabrics from Quilt Con.

Gayle finished the top of the exciting green and navy quilt.

Cheryl added a border to the Disney donation quilt.

Cheryl created this dramatic blue quilt using left overs from her Josephine’s Knot quilt.  She calls it “Not a Knot” quilt.

Britt is in the planning phase of making a wedding quilt.

Candy started a new table runner.
