4/16/15 - CCLQ @ Cheryl K.'s

Today we met at Cheryl K.'s house for another morning of Sew. Eat. Gab... and don't forget the fuel for out stitches...  COFFEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!  :o))


Here are some shots of the projects from our busy hands...


We started off with Joanna's newest quilt:

Then I caught a glimpse of a pattern in a box:

It turned out to be a Lady of the Lake pattern for a quilt that Deborah is experimenting with:

Ella's ONLY purchase at Mary Jo's (besides the photo transfer stuff):

Candy was working on Mug Rugs for hostess gifts:

Ella was busy binding a quilt, got distracted from her work:

LOOK at Gayle's new Donation Quilt:

Dee Dee worked on "de-boning" men's shirts from the thrift store:

Cheryl K. finished quilting her nautical themed baby quilt:

Cheryl showed us the fabrics she found to go with her Asian themed print:

She also made some decisions about her black crane print fabric:

Joy was busy cutting up scraps:

Gayle worked on sewing the binding down on her new Donation Quilt:

Ruth S. sewed binding on this cute Donation Quilt and is writing an I Spy poem for the back:

This adorable cat quilt is Candy's next Donation Quilt project (binding ONLY):

Ruth B. knit a few stitches on her scarf and enjoyed chatting with Ruth S. and others:

Once upon a time, Ruth B. went to Houston and found a pattern (that she didn't buy.)  Feeling the need to clarify what size pieces to cut, she ordered the pattern online:

And then she went to Mary Jo's, where she spent TWO HOURS in ONE ROW!!!  The next photo shows the fabric that she bought:

Joanna did some more work on her stitching project:

And then we were off to The Root Cellar (formerly Foster's Market of Chapel Hill) for lunch... dining in good company (with mixed reviews on our menu selections.)
