To see if Candy had any border fabric that might work. She did!! Thanks, Candy!! The question will be whether there is enough:
Joanna showed some of us an optical illusion. No telling WHAT she has planned for this:
Smile, Gayle! You finished ANOTHER Donation Quilt... minus the binding:
Oh! Joanna brought back her granddaughter's graduation quilt so that YOU could see the front:
Although, THIS may be a more accurate representation of the colors. I really can't recall:
And... since we were having a bit of Show and Tell, Joy threw out the quilt she just bound. Gayle did the quilting last week and was surprised that the binding was finished:
DISCLAIMER: The photograph posted above was also taken prior to today's meeting at Candy's house.
Deborah settled in to get a bit more quilting done on her Star Quilt:
Here's Gayle, working on the binding of that beautiful Donation Quilt:
Cheryl K. was also doing some binding today:
That will be the next step on Candy's Convergence Quilt:
Here's a closer look at the curved quilting that was done using a walking foot. It was inspired by one of Jean's recent quilts and a Craftsy Class with Jacquie Gering of Tallgrass Prairie Studio:
Jean was, once again, armed with rotary cutter and rotating cutting mat:
She did further destruction of her collection of Jelli Prints:
Look how happy Joanna is when you get a cup of coffee in her hands...
A stack of batting at her feet...
And a bucket of plastic parts in her lap:
Candy shared the next quilt top in her adorable Animal Alphabet "series":
You can see (a sliver of) her border options across the top of the following picture:
LOOK!! Candy was thoughtful enough to coordinate today's napkins with Gayle's quilt:
Don't worry, Dee Dee! I save one for you. Although, you may have to remind me to bring it to you:
Speaking of Dee Dee... There was some discussion as to whether she was in South Carolina or New Jersey! Wherever she was, she remembered to text Candy when it was time to get ready for lunch!!! Thanks, Dee Dee! What would we do without you??? Enjoy your trip and come home soon.
In case you were wondering about that bucket of plastic parts, Joanna was playing with...
Here is a close-up of the technological masterpiece in progress:
For the first time in a LONG time, ALL of us went to lunch! The Mebane Downtown Table was DE-lish!!! Our compliments to the new chef. The impressive chandeliers added to the ambiance:
Until next time...
