11/10/16 - CCLQ @ Ruth S's

Welcome to this week's meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters!!  We were at Ruth S's house this week. Missed a number of our member, but that meant more scones for the seven of us in attendance!  :P

We got down to the "business" of Show and Tell fairly quickly today.  Wanna see??

Jean worked on a beading project:

Joy worked on a knitting project:

Candy also knit during the meeting:

Joanna did some more cutting for her Patriotic Quilt:

Jean brought the latest issue of Chapel Hill Magazine.  Quilt Artist, Elaine O'Neil was on the cover with her stash as the background:

Jean has been playing with Oakshott Cotton:

LOOK what she found while going through some old recipes:

Dee Dee enjoyed a cup of coffee before getting to work:

Sorry, Jean, I don't recall if this is your inspiration or the piece on your design wall that was too big to bring:

HERE is a better shot of the lustrous fabrics:

Candy finished the top of Lilly's Quilt... MAYBE:

Another look at Lilly's Learning Quilt:

MORE Picket Fence parts for Joanna:

Ruth S. is pleased to report that she got a SmartPhone:

This is a small portion of her newest project:

Dee Dee tries to "get in the zone" to work in her sketchbook:

Failed, but shared an "in progress" page:

Ruth B. worked on her applique quilt, but declined a photo:

These shimmering threads were part of Candy's stocking project:

There were some "Tells", too.  Unfortunately, your illustrious editor wasn't paying close enough attention to get it all down.  (For those of you who were there and want to make a public announcement, feel free to email with details for me to add to this post.)

Six of us headed off to Taziki's Mediterranean Cafe for a delicious lunch.  If you are in the O'Kelley Chapel area of Cary, NC... we highly recommend stopping by!!

Until next time...
Friendship is golden!!!
