Once the chatting settled to a dull roar, we began Show and Tell...
Deborah arrived before very many others were here, so she made use of Joy's "design floor" to lay out some wonderful 9-Patch blocks. A hand-me-down UFO:
Joy returned these kerchiefs to Jean, who will be making a quilt for Willie. Joy is sure to get the somewhat shrunken scraps at some point in the future:
Joy brought out the fabrics that she purchased at New Beginning Quilt Shop in Hendersonville. Who says you can't buy fabric at a yarn festival?!?! These SALE fabrics are for finishing Think Spring, a portion pictured below:
Candy worked on a holiday stocking:
Cheryl K. started off by looking through some reading material:
Joanna brought along a cutting project:
Ruth B. made progress on her Landscape applique:
Deborah is knitting a scarf:
Cheryl got a little bit ahead of herself on a bag project:
She did some lovely walking foot quilting on this bag:
Jean continued making progress on her Scrappy Mtn. Majesty:
She also shared her 2016 DOQ Challenge Quilt:
Can you see the quilting??
She did some AMAZING feather work...
... And used up some gorgeous hand dyes (done in shades of denim) that she did a number of years ago:
Jean's newest project involves hand painted birds (which Cheryl was able to identify!) with stitched accents:
Look at the label that Candy made for...
... THIS lovely quilt that she just finished:
Dee Dee spent the morning ripping apart some canvas bags with the intent of repurposing the fabric:
Joanna has a new Patriotic project, using the ruler that Joy is holding up for the camera:
Somehow, Dee Dee convinced Ella to help with the bag deconstruction...
... While she shared her recent finish:
Joanna shared some "quilt tubes" for rolling quilts for travel or storage. Candy was one of several takers:
Ella showed off the Halloween costume that she helped her grandson and SIL finish off:
Here's Ruth B. putting her new "quilt tube" to work:
Last, but not least, Candy brought along a bag of scraps for Joy:
Thanks, Candy!!!
Until next time...
Quilt happy!!!
