| What is a "trash can quilt?" DeeDee confessed that this piece has been in the trash four times! The group agreed...this piece is not trash can worthy. Thread paint it! As Tim on Project Runway would say..."Make it work!" |

| Jean shared this personal thank you note for the police support quilt from Sheriff Roberson. Only a couple of police support quilts left to deliver. Deborah is waiting on the newly designed patch from the UNC Police Department. Joy will let us know when she delivers her quilt to the Hillsborough Police Department. |

| Candy used her new invisible thread from Wonderfil Threads to repurpose a jacket and shirt for her son. The clothing had the logo from a former company he worked for...now it's a Tarheel fan jacket and shirt. |

| Candy showed some hologram thread, available from Wonderfil and Superior Threads. Hologram thread gives your work a glow or a little glitter. Ella shared that she is making a scrap lap quilt and plans to quilt it with feathers. |

| Another show from DeeDee...she made these large sofa pillows using Kaffe Fassett fabric and sewed a zipper in the side. |

| Sewing tip of the week....this one from Jean...put some batting in the bottom of a box and your tiny squares stay more organized. Spools of thread don't roll around as much on this surface too. |
