6/1/17: CCLQ @ Britt's

Greetings from the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters who enjoy meeting once a week to share the joy of quilting and other creative endeavors. This is the update from the meeting two weeks ago at Britt's house. As my mother always said..."Better late than never." Six quilters met and started off the meeting with some yummy gluten free brownies.  Britt had a wonderful "tell" about her recent trip to California to reconnect with her French exchange family.

Chocolate always makes us happy!

Umm... Britt had this fabric on the table...wonder what she has planned ?
Ruth B showed her landscape quilt.
Here's a close up of the excellent embroidery.

Ruth plans to add some whimsical cats and butterflies to her landscape project.
Ella worked on adding a sleeve to her peacock quilt.
Joanna worked on a cross stitch project.

Deborah started appliqué on a wool sewing kit.

DeeDee prepared fabric for a leader and ender project.

DeeDee shared this photo of a dresser scarf on her design wall.  DeeDee shared news that she's joining an art quilt group.

Britt made this stunning flower in Laura Wasilowski's Hand Dyes and Doodle class from NCQS.

Britt auditioned background colors for her flower project.

This is Britt's project from the NCQS Nancy Mahoney class. This pattern is called Dot to Dot.

More blocks for Dot to Dot

Strips will be added.  Can't wait to see how this quilt turns out!

Britt made some key holders to sell at Candy's daughter's  collective market.

Ruth S sent us this awesome photo (via text message) of a sunset from The Bluff.  DeeDee replied..."we expect to see this as a quilt at some point!"
The group had lunch at Radius pizza in Hillsborough.

Until next time...."The work wants to be made, and it wants to be made through you.
