8/10/17: CCLQ at Candy's

Here's another post for the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters.  We're a lucky group of friends who share a passion for quilting! This week's meeting was at Candy's house. We had two surprise members attend! Stay tuned to see who showed up.

Candy opened show and tell with information about the Saturday road trip to Pineapple Fabrics.

Margaret sent several swatch brochures from Pineapple Fabrics. Thanks Margaret!

Candy made this lovely Josephine's Knot quilt.

Candy started quilting this fun quilt for Lilly.

Ruth S sent us a photo of her tree quilt!  Thanks Ruth.  We're looking forward to seeing you in the fall.

Surprise guest number 1:  Gayle!  Gayle share this whimsical appliqué UNC quilt.

DeeDee shared this brochure about a fiber show at the Alamance Arts Center.

DeeDee went to the Natural Sciences Museum in Raleigh and found this chic chicken bag!

DeeDee also found this guide for birds, which has good illustrations to use for quilt designs.

Surprise visitor number 2...Joy!   Joy is deconstructing ties for a commission quilt.
Joy also showed this fabulous star quilt.

Joanna has this piece ready to quilt, and used a mylar overlay to explore various quilting designs.

What's in that bag Britt?
