11/16/17 - CCLQ @ Britt's

Welcome to this week's meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilt Bee!!  Britt was our emergency hostess, as Deborah had a crisis at home to deal with.  Thanks, Britt and we missed you, Deb! Here's hoping that you got everything squared away.

Eleven quilters shared projects and did some work, too.  Here is the mix of photos taken by the stand-in blog mistress...

Ruth S. stopped by to drop of the completed #quiltsforvegas quilt and share this scrappy quilt top:

Gayle did some embroidery:

Cheryl K. sewed down some binding:

She went home last week and tried out the scarf pattern that Ruth S. bought for Dee Dee:

The batiks are a bit stiff, but Joy was able to figure out a way to wear the scarf.  Didn't get a picture of that, but here is a closer look at the fabrics that Cheryl used:

Britt worked on some appliqued vines:

Ruth B. worked on finishing the binding of our 2nd #quiltsforvegas:

Cheryl B. took Ruth S's spot on the couch when Ruth left early.  Some hand applique was on her agenda for the morning:

Joanna sat sorting fabric strips:

Dee Dee worked on stitching a binding:

Candy was busy with binding a quilt, too:

Ella was busy hand quilting:

Dee Dee shared her newly completed art quilt:

Here's a closer look... hopefully right side up:

Candy made another Ribbon Quilt:

Joanna scaled the pattern down for her.  What a difference:

We all chimed in on the binding options:

This was Britt's favorite:

Here is Joy's favorite:

Quilting by Dee Dee using Jacquie Gering techniques:

Everyone wanted to see Ella's progress on Jonathan's quilt:

Joy saw a design on the internet... and shrunk it:

She worked on removing the hand basting from this quilt in order to load it on the longarm for machine quilting:

Ruth B. is planning a new bag:

Britt completed a UFO!!  Her 100's Quilt turned out great:

She is the recipient of SEVEN antique quilts and tops from Sara P. and shared the wealth with her friends.  Thanks, Britt and thank you Sara, too!!  We LOVE them!!!

If memory serves, this one went to Cheryl K:

Joy adopted this scrappy one:

Ella is taking this Butterfly quilt for her next hand quilting project:

Britt plans to re-quilt this one, as the batting has disintegrated:

Britt is keeping this sweet 9-Patch quilt, as is:

The maker of this quilt seems to have stopped mid-pattern:

This beautiful Lone Star quilt is in desperate need of a bath:

Britt also shared her recent Donation Quilt finish:

Gayle is piecing a new quilt:

Joanna is reworking some blocks.  Some of the fabrics didn't suit:

Until next time...
