8/30/18: CCLQ at Gayle's

Greetings from the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters!  This week eight quilters met at Gayle's home.  Get ready to see some wonderful quilts and some lovely paintings by Gayle. What a talented group of women!

Gayle quilted this stunning kaleidoscope quilt that Margaret pieced. Gayle plans to hang it in her new house.

Gayle showed delightful acrylic paintings. Here's a wonderful floral painting.

What a wonderful tropical painting.

Deborah has been hand quilting this Lone Star quilt for several years. This quilt was hand pieced by her grandmother. Deborah is taking out the quilting on some of the corners and will re-baste and quilt to alleviate too much puckering.

Cheryl B shared this pattern that she will use to make a quilt for her grand-daughter-in-law.

Joanna shared Ella's Kansas quilt.

Beautiful quilting by Joanna!

Ella was so excited to see Joanna's quilting. She plans to get the binding on this quilt real soon.

Everyone admired the Kansas Quilt. It made us think that fall is just around the corner.

Candy shared this find on bobbins. These will fit a Bernina and are a much better deal at Mary Jo's, Joann's Fabric or on Amazon.

Candy made a sample quilt block fabric gift bag.

Margaret sewed on the porch last weekend when we had a cool spell. She finished this awesome 69"x85" Hour Glass quilt top.  The fabrics are from Lisa Foulks-Arnold's mother.

Margaret worked on the binding on the Nancy Mahoney Dot to Dot quilt.

Until next week, invest some time in quilting!
