11/7/19 - CCLQ @ Dee Dee's

Welcome to another meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters!!  This week we were hosted by Dee Dee.  Joy substituted for Deborah as Blog Editor for the day.

You KNOW what that means, don't you???

No notes were taken.  She came in late, took photos, and left early.  That's how it goes with the Junior Quilter in tow!  Special thanks to Ella for bringing a bin of cars to entertain the JQ:

Carol handed over the Pineapple Award to :

The next several photos got deleted because Joy was SEW excited about her Pineapple win that she forgot how to focus the camera...

Sorry about that, Dee Dee, Cheryl K., and Candy!  Jean lost her head while cutting bits and pieces:

Margaret was sneering at me, as I had interrupted her turn for this morning's Show and Tell:

Joanna was busy giving her seam ripper a workout...

... While Ruth B. concentrated on her cup of coffee:

Gayle was smiling because she saw Joy pointing the camera at her:

Let's try this, again!!!

Cheryl K. had shown off her Bowl Cozy:

Jean shared a selection of festive (machine embroidered) aprons:

Gobble, gobble:

Oh-SEW-sweet handprint turkey:

Margaret got the top of her Kaleidoscope Quilt assembled:

She seems pretty happy about it, too:

This will be the backing:

Joy, with her Pineapple Award keychain:

She recently completed this Jumbo Quilted Scrap Basket...

... And is now working on a (yucky) GREEN one, thanks to a long ago scrap infusion from Jean:

Joy's baskets are based loosely on THIS TUTORIAL:

Joy recently completed the top of her "Ella" Donation Quilt:

So far, SEW good!  The Junior Quilter is busy with those vehicles:

Lynda is giving away this pattern and will used the accumulated fabrics for table runners and such:

Ella recently finished the top of this sweet quilt:

The central panel was machine embroidered by Jean:

Next up, borders:

Ella asked for input regarding the fabric choices and sizing:

Joanna told the story of how unhappy she was with one of the quilting designs.  SEW displeased that she's picking it out:

Story time:

Gayle worked on embroidering her Chapel Hill wall hanging:

The Junior Quilter moved on to playing with some fabric scraps:

Margaret stitched on her Castle Wall block:

Ruth B. was wearing her Show and Tell.  Thanks to the loan of Jean's pattern, her Expo purchase has been transformed into this lovely rayon batik blouse, soon to receive an alteration:

"Grandma" Ella is TOTALLY in her element:

Gayle laid out her Show and Tell on Dee Dee's "design floor"...

... And everyone was "calling dibs" on their favorites:

Apparently, the Junior Quilter wanted to make off with this one, but Gayle gave her the old "bait and switch."  LOL!!!  Cars rule:

As talk turned to lunch plans, Joy and the JQ said their goodbyes and made their way to the door.
Until next time...
QUILT. Eat. Repeat!!!
