7/9/20 - CCLQ @ ZoomBEE

Welcome to the weekly meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters!  We were missing several members this week.  Vacation, visitors, and life in general kept some away.

Virtual Additions...

Ruth S. shared another glorious sunset:

Show and Tell...

DeeDee:

... Drafted a table runner pattern for her curved coffee table,  sewed some binding on her Storm at Sea Quilt, and...

... And worked on trying to figure out some art quilt projects:

Dee Dee didn't like the blue background, so she cut it away...

... And tested it...

... on this dendritic print made with Jean some time ago:

Lynda Mac:

... Reported that she has been working on some appliqué and embroidery pieces:

She had 6 panels and used two panels for one piece and three panels for a piece for her sister.  Britt had some left over blue blocks that worked nicely for backings:

Candy:

... Well be reorganizing her sewing room with Ella’s help.  She made some pillow cases for her guest bed with leftovers from her Blooming 9-Patch which resides up there:

Candy finished her modern cat quilts.  Jean embroidered some fancy name plates for each piece.  Now the cat quilts are on display in Candy’s dining room.

"Museum quality" cat portraits of Chip...

... And Cami:

Ella:

... Finished the Batik quilt top and also purchased a new book on 3-D quilts...

... And plans to make a 3-D tumbling block quilt:

She got the ruler to go with the book:

Ella found...

... Some lovely floral fabric...

... And used it to make a checkerboard style donation quilt for the bunk bed project:

Joy:

Maggie offered this, but the print is larger than Ruth hoped:
